On September 26, a delegation of education professionals from the international EAIE: European Association for International Education conference visited the Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab Rotterdam. The site-visit started with a presentation by program manager Iris Kerst where the participants were welcomed to the lab, and given a brief explanation of what exactly a living lab is. Next, participants were able to visit other living labs at the so-called labmarket, namely:
– Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab Amsterdam
– Sustainable Media Lab
– Sustainable Fashion Lab
– Inholland Rechtswinkel010
– Living Lab Lombardijen
– International Music Industry Lab
There was networking and some great connections were already being made between the educational institutions. After the lab market, participants had the chance to go on one of four tours designed by the Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab Rotterdam students. These included an architect tour and a ‘layers of South’ tour. The afternoon was a great success!
