You can now sign up for the Minor at the Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab

What do Sportbedrijf Rotterdam, World Harbor Days Academy, Rabobank and Ahoy have in common? They all want to create cool things on ‘Zuid’ and collaborate with the Urban Leisure & Tourism Lab to contribute to this.

Join us to make impact! You have until October 27th to sign up for the minor at the Urban Leisure & Tourisme Lab. We offer an interdisciplinary minor of 30 EC, in the old ABN AMRO building at Zuidplein. Will you help Rotterdam Zuid get in motion? High quality outdoor space is superimportant. It contributes to personal health, but also to the wellbeing of communities, and to thriving neighbourhoods. Rotterdam used to be very car focused, but a slow change is taking place towards more livable and breathable outdoor spaces. But we need more ideas and better concepts, especially in Rotterdam Zuid.

The assignment for this semester is about creating opportunities in the public realm that can inspire citizens of Zuid to get in motion in a healthy, fun and playful way. You are invited to think of round the clock programmes for parks and play spots, and think of how sport and motion may be accommodated and celebrated. What concepts can you think of for the Rotterdam Harbor?
