Ina

Ina has lived in the van Swietenhof for no less than 71 years. She has seen Zuid change through the years. When she came to live in Zuid 71 years ago, she had a view of vast meadows. Her mother even wondered what Ina was looking for in that farmland. Now, at the age of 96, Ina feels connected to her neighbourhood and is glad that she has such caring neighbours who are always there for her. 

From August 2021 to January 2022, a group of students worked on a concept for Hart van Zuid with a focus on leisure. They did this from and around our lab located on Zuidplein. While they were working, they discovered that they wanted to give something extra back to the community. They decided to go out on the streets and shoot beautiful portraits of entrepreneurs and residents of the neighbourhood. This portrait is one of the portraits from the series: ‘Local heroes from Hart van Zuid’.
