Menno

Menno has been working in the kitchen of the delicious restaurant Lisa for two and a half years. What Menno particularly likes about working here is that he is not seen as a number, but as a person. Moreover, Menno is very social, so that’s why he likes working at Lisa so much. His quote is: “Contact with people is more important than money.” Menno has many ambitions. He would like to grow, become a musician and he is an entrepreneur.

From August 2021 to January 2022, a group of students worked on a concept for Hart van Zuid with a focus on leisure. They did this from and around our lab located on Zuidplein. While they were working, they discovered that they wanted to give something extra back to the community. They decided to go out on the streets and shoot beautiful portraits of entrepreneurs and residents of the neighbourhood. This portrait is one of the portraits from the series: ‘Local heroes from Hart van Zuid’.
